Claire turned seven back in August and we had a big birthday bash for her. She wanted a tropical theme since we were "swimming" in our blow-up slide thing. People were already showing up when I was taking pictures of the decor, so I didn't have time to get some good shots, but you get the idea.
The cake I made. It'd look better if I liked the way stiffer frosting tastes, but I don't. :)
I'm so excited about these birthday stars I made! My friend Raschell (who just moved to Orlando last week! I'm still in mourning!) had one at her house that her mom had made, so I copied the idea and bought stuff for all the girls to make at the Lundgren family reunion in Yellowstone. I made two big stars and one little star. On the actual birthday and on the day of the party we hang the two big stars on our front doors and then the little star on the door of the birthday kid's room. I think they're so fun!
Playing on the water slide.
Everyone dried off for pizza, presents and cake and ice cream.
Waiting turns to take a swing at the pinata.
Grant had all the kids scream. (I don't remember why, but they sure thought it was great!)
The party group.

Oh, so much fun! The cake looks great!
I'm so impressed with your many talents, including cake decorating and star-making! One day I hope to be like you :) And thanks for sending my mom the pictures that you took of our family at the wedding. I LOVE some of the ones you got of Lydia and Luke, and I'm so glad I got to see you! Hopefully it's not another 5 or 6 years before we meet again!
