We spent Christmas day playing with all the new toys the kids got. That, and sleeping. Claire and Cole woke up at 4 AM!!!! I think they were kicking each other in their sleep since they slept in the same bed, so they woke each other up and then realized that Santa had come - it was all over by then. So, Grant and I dragged ourselves out of bed and we all opened presents before the sun was even flirting with the idea of coming up. Luckily, Ava didn't wake up amid the kids' continual shouts of excitement and trying out of new toys. She, at least, got a normal sleep! It was reminiscent of my growing-up because we always woke up at around 3 or 4 am to open presents. Grant has always sworn that our little family would never wake up that early, but he obviously ate his words this year! It was so fun to see how excited the kids were. This was by far the most fun Christmas we've had as far as the kids excitement goes - they're finally both old enough to "get it" and to be excited for Santa and presents, etc. It was great.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I just mosey-d on over to your blog and was so excited to read all the new posts and see all the adorable pics of your cuties. I love Ava's little pony tail on the top of her head! You also know that I was all about the packer mania post and am glad to hear that they have a Packers day, and that your kids are starting to get on board! :) We have Packer mania here at our house every weekend, complete with jerseys for everyone as well. The boys even have a song they made up all about the Packers! I'm anxious to check out that book you posted about, I need to get something to get me through the next two weeks before this baby comes, although, by the sound of it, it will only take me a day to get through it. I'm happy to let my kids eat cereal off the floor if its that good of a book! Wow - this is a really long comment, I should have just emailed you!
Nice lighting in your pics! I always woke up that early as a kid. We made it until 8am this year- thankfully! Looks like your kids had a blast. Ava is adorable in that Hershey Kiss picture.
Too cute! I love the pictures
Love the pictures....and Edward!!! I finished the first book and then the next two were on hold at the library for like years it seems. I did let Santas elves know that I wanted the last 2 books for Christmas but I guess he didn't get the memo! Anyway thanks for the card you guys are too cute!
