Dastardly Decor - Part I

It's dastardly because it takes way too much of my time and brain space and yet the pictures don't seem to do it justice!  I feel like everything looks better in real life and the pictures don't portray how much time and effort I've put into all of this!  Sigh.  Anyway, here's the first round of pictures of our decorated home.  These are the rooms that are pretty much finished.  And that were clean.  :)  The loft is finished but is a horrible mess right now (go figure) and the office is pretty much done, I just have to hang up some shelves.  There's still some final touches in each of these rooms, but like I said before, I know none of you care or want to wait!  So, here they are!

  1. Okay so this might sound totally random but I came across your blog because I goggled home decorating tips and your link came up so I clicked on it and looked at your pictures. Well I noticed your black entertainment center and I have been on the search for one and yours looks just what I am looking for. So do you mind telling me where you got it?
Anyways, I know so random. But your house looks cute, you have great style.

  9. Everything looks so great, and I know what you mean, everything is always better in real life. The human eye is amazing isn't it? I always think that when I look at pictures of a beautiful place we've been, or my children, they just never look as good as they do through my own eyes.

You have done such a nice job, it takes so much time and effort! Way to go. :)

  14. HELLLOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

FINALLY you are posting pics of your house! I was getting impatient. And yes - they are awesome.

Is the color of your Master Bedroom called "french toast" by any chance. That looks just like the color we had in ours. What are the names of the paint in your living room and dining room?

  16. Cassidy -- it looks beautiful! I can't wait to have a house to decorate someday. (Although I guess we would first need to be able to afford a house, and then to afford all the furnishings and decorations). :)
Congratualtions on the baby. My guess is that it's a boy. Glad you're feeling well so far.
