Yes, I think hell has officially frozen over and I'm living in it. We have had so much snow that I can't even remember what grass looks like. It is beyond ridiculous. Here's some pictures from the latest white-out blizzard. Grant was shoveling and the kids were trying to play in it. We walked over to our neighbors, the Pothiers (who live just seven houses down the street), for chili that night and it took like an hour to get there. The wind was blowing so hard that we couldn't see anything and the snow in some areas was almost as high as Cole. The kids were crying the whole way. Ahhhh, Wisconsin!
hey, it looks like you have more snow than we do!! Our back yard is frozen over under about 7 inches of snow, but we did have a lot of melting in the front this week, so we have grass again! (Nasty yellow winter squashed-down grass, but grass nonetheless!)
ReplyDeleteoh my...its generally about 70 degrees here:) that looks like fun for about 2 seconds.
ReplyDeleteWhat's all that white stuff again? OHHH...snow...snow? hmm.............Ah yes snow! I think I recall that...terrible thing, snow...buuuuttttt that's what you get for living in hell. Sorry.
ReplyDeleteCassidy,
ReplyDeleteI agree! I am really ready for winter to be over (and I was out of town and missed 2 months of the Wisconsin winter this year). I know what you mean about forgetting what grass looks like too. Apparently you're not the only one, because on the drive home from church Sunday when it was a blazing hot 30 degrees out and some of the snow melted a bit, Michael pointed at the median in the road and said, "Look, you can see the grass." I told him that grey stuff under the snow should not be called grass, but 'slushy muck.' I think I might hate the grey yuck all over around the roads (and tracked into our home) even more than I dislike the fact that it takes me an hours to get my kids bundled and out to the car in the winter here. Ok, I guess that's enough for my pessimism now -- your post just brought it all out. Just cross your fingers for me that we match someplace warm.
